About Us

UrbAnatomy Lab is a New Delhi-based think tank and consulting practice focused on providing urban planning and design solutions to some of the most critical urban development issues being experienced by communities today in India and the Global South. These involve fortifying people, places and institutions against the disaster risk and secondary threats due to Climate Change.

Our work has involved adaptation and mitigation measures like area-based and pan-city strategies for decarbonising transportation and urban mobility in Indian cities; disaster risk management; restoration of natural resources; nature based solutions mapping; street and junction design; placemaking; community outreach; advocacy; and urban graphics and messaging around these issues.

As a multidisciplinary collaborative, we follow our design-test-iterate approach of making our cities more inclusive, safe, healthy and enjoyable. Our process often centers on the communities we serve being co-designers of their environments. Our team has as much academic experience as on-ground implementation and we continuously strive to optimise design to create thriving urban systems that are sustainable and efficient for both, people and the planet.
